Sterling 1930s - 1940s United Air Lines Stewardess Wing Hat Badge by Robbins First Type with Post

This is a United Air Lines Stewardess / Fight Attendant Wing Hat Badge  in sterling silver by Robbins from the 1930's - 1940's. This is the first type of these badges, with a pin AND a screwpost. The second type did NOT have the post, only the pin, although the circle for affixing the screwpost is still visible from the stamping die on the back of the second type Wing.

Circa 1930's - 1940's.

Approximately: 1-1/16" in height x 1-11/16" in length.

Sterling silver with hard-fired blue and red enamel.

Horizontal pin with come-under locking catch and screw post and disk backing.
