This napkin ring is a dainty souvenir of the sinking of the Spanish cruiser Reina Mercedes in Santiago Harbor on July 3rd, 1898 as part of the Spanish American War. The napkin ring is engraved: Souvenir of the Spanish Cruiser Reina Mercedes, sunk in Santiago harbor, July 3 1898."
