Description
This is a smaller size World War II United States Army Air Forces Technical Representative badge made in the China-Burma-India theatre. This size of badge may have been used for either shirt wear or for overseas reps. The badge is an open square frame within which a winged propeller is suspended, and it is missing its wool backing.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1" square.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with C catch; four bendable prongs (would have secured missing wool backing).
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:We have other tech rep items available that were purchased along with this item, all of which came from the estate of a Pratt & Whitney tech rep who returned to New Hampshire after the war. CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The badge has some light tarnish and only some light wear, and its wool backing missing.
