ARTIFACT:
This is a smaller size World War II United States Army Air Forces Technical Representative badge made in the China-Burma-India theatre. This size of badge may have been used for either shirt wear or for overseas reps. The badge is an open square frame within which a winged propeller is suspended, and it is missing its wool backing.
VINTAGE:
Circa World War II.
SIZE:
Approximately 1" square.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:
Horizontal pin with C catch; four bendable prongs (would have secured missing wool backing).

None.

We have other tech rep items available that were purchased along with this item, all of which came from the estate of a Pratt & Whitney tech rep who returned to New Hampshire after the war. 7+ (Very Fine+): The badge has some light tarnish and only some light wear, and its wool backing missing.
