Description
This is a fantastic and ultra-rare World War II United States Army Air Forces Technical Representative Observer (think technical observer wing!) shoulder patch made in the China-Burma-India theatre. The patch is bordered and embroidered in bullion and silk threads and has a handsomely detailed winged star at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/2" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool embroidered in bullion and silk threads, muslin backing, metal snaps.
ATTACHMENT:Four snaps.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:We have other tech rep items available that were purchased along with this item, all of which came from the estate of a Pratt & Whitney tech rep who returned to New Hampshire after the war. CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The patch has some light tarnish to the bullion and some light to medium wear in a few spots along its edge.
