ARTIFACT: This is a small World War I poster of the USS D-3 from the Illustrated Current News published in New Haven, Connecticut. The D-3 started out her career in 1910 at Quincy, Massachusetts as the USS Salmon. She was renamed D-3 in 1911 and then once again to SS-19. The photo shows a fleet of subs with the D-3 leading, her crew out on top for some air.

VINTAGE: Circa World War I.

SIZE: Approximately 12-5/8" in height by 18-7/8" in width (not including foam board).

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Paper.

ATTACHMENT: None.

ITEM NOTES: This poster will be shipped unwrapped and rolled without the foam board, unless arrangements are made for pick-up or special shipping to preserve the shrink wrap mounting. This is from an airlines collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJX98 LAAEX11/11

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The poster has some small rips along the edge, with light spots of grayish discoloration/staining along the right-hand edge.
