ARTIFACT: This is a great submarine desk model, probably from New London, Connecticut. The model is quite detailed, showing a deck gun, flags and port holes, and is flat on reverse. There is a slight possibility that this model may have been made with scrap from the USS Sailfish (ex-Squalus) because of a scratched message on the bottom reading SQUALUS 1951.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/2" height and 9-1/4" width and 2-1/2" depth (base).

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass, wood.

ATTACHMENT: N/A.

MARKINGS: SQUALUS 1951 scratched on bottom.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Navy collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VEJX07 LBBEX8/10 SeBDEX7/15

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): Model has very little wear.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
