Description
This is a silver Scottish clan badge by Mackay & Chisholm date-stamped 1950. The badge shows a raised hand holding a dagger and reads AUT AGERE AUT MORI (either action or death), which is the motto of the clan.
VINTAGE:Circa 1950.
SIZE:Approximately 1-11/16" in height and 1-7/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silver.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal T-style pin with come-under locking swivel catch (catch appears to have been replaced).
MARKINGS:M&C (Mackay & Chisholm), thistle, castle and U marks (date-stamped 1950).

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The badge has some light to medium wear and a mellow tarnish (catch appears to have been replaced).
