ARTIFACT:
Scarce WWI United States Navy Supply Corps, Ensign's uniform jacket dated 1917 and tailored in Portsmouth, New Hampshire for Harry Knight. The jacket features the Supply Corps distinctive gilt (faded) silver bullion oak leaves on the collar and the cuffs display a gilt silver rank stripe bordered in light white velvet on the sleeves. There are two tags, a pocket tag and tailor's tag. The pocket tag reads: "CHAZ J. WOOD PORTSMOUTH, N. H. MR. HARRY KNIGHT DATE MAY 1917", both 'Harry Knight' and 'May 1917' are handwritten ink. The jacket tag reads: "C. J. WOOD PORTSMOUTH, N. H."

CONDITION:
7+ (Very Fine+ - Overall): The exterior is in remarkable condition with only a couple tiny moth nips, the interior of the jacket has seen heavy wear and separation, the piping accent along the base of reverse shows separation, bullion is in exceptional condition, as are rank stripes on the sleeves, overall very fine condition.
