Interesting Pair of WWI Era USN Ensign Shoulder Boards with Tailor-Applied Star

This is an interesting pair of World War I United States Navy ensign shoulder boards. Each board sports a tailor-applied bullion star.

Circa World War I.

Approximately 5-1/4" in height and 2-15/16" in width (each).

Wool, wool, felt, bullion fabric tape, bullion threads, cotton backing, leather strap, gold-plated brass.

Leather strap with snap on each.

None.
