Description
This is a scarce World War I period 14th King's Hussars enlisted man cap badge. A cavalry regiment of the British Army, the King's Hussars served under this name from 1715 until 1922, when they merged with the 14th/20th Hussars. The badge has a lion atop a crown at center and reads HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE (shame upon him who thinks evil of it) upon an encircling garter.
VINTAGE:Circa WWI.
SIZE:Approximately 1-11/16" in height (not including clip) and 1-7/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Brass.
