Description
Scarce WWI Imperial German Iron Cross 1st Class. Nice vaulted xample with plated brass frame and backing plate and an iron core. The decoration was first created in 1813 by the King of Prussia, Friedrich Wilhelm III. The cross is nicely vaulted and has no maker marks. It shows a "W" at center for Wilhelm II topped by an imperial crown and reads "1914".

SIZE:Approximately 1-11/16" in height and 1-11/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass, iron.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical "T" style pin with "C" type catch.
