ARTIFACT:
This is a scarce variation World War II US Marine Corps Ship's Detachment Patch. The patch is embroidered on twill, having a seahorse and anchor in the center of a rhombus.
VINTAGE:
Circa WWII.
SIZE:
Size 3-1/4" in height x 2-3/8 in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Embroidered Silk on twill, gauze backing.
ATTACHMENT:
To be sewn onto uniform.

CONDITION:
7- (Very Fine-): There are some frays around the edged and on the reverse, and the colors of the thread are bleached from exposure.
