Scarce variation of WWII British Commando shoulder patch. The British Commandos were formed during WWII in 1941 and served in all theaters of the war. The men serving with the Commandos were awarded 479 decorations, this patch is embroidered red thread on navy wool felt depicting the commando insignia.
