ARTIFACT: This is a scarce SIGNED circa 1945 3-record set of Sophie Tucker on Decca Records. The 78 RPM set has six songs. The inside album cover was signed by Ms. Tucker in the Latin Quarter in 1948. The original recording flyer is taped into the back cover of the album. A Russian-born émigrée to Connecticut, Ms. Tucker was a vaudeville artist, pianist, actress and singer known for her large physical presence and risqué lyrics. Nicknamed "The Last of the Red Hot Mamas", Tucker passed away in 1966.

VINTAGE: Circa 1945.

SIZE: Approximately 11-7/8" in width x 10-3/8" in height x 3/4" in depth.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Vinyl, cardboard, paper.

ATTACHMENT: Tape bound album cover, paper sleeves for records.

MARKINGS: Best Wishes Sophie Tucker Latin Quarter, N.Y. Nov. 1948; union marks MADE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
