ARTIFACT:
This is a set of 3 scarce World War II US Coast Guard Reserve (USCGR) Officer's dog tags named to Howard R. Glenn. There is a single tag, dated 12/42 that may have been carried as a good luck charm, as it appears to ahve been plated in silver, and a Christian Cross has been attached to it. And there is a pair, in steel, dated 02/45. Glenn's PA Veterans' Compensation Application (not included) shows he went straight from the USCG Academy into active service aboard 3 LSTs but had no overseas service.
