It has a short glossary of aircraft terms followed by many illustrations of British, French and German aircraft, pointing out their varying characteristics for identification purposes. Found inside the book was a typewritten page of questions from August 1917 (please see last photo). The book apparently belonged to a W. Bartlett at one time, but we have no information on this individual.

VINTAGE: Circa 1917 (World War I).

SIZE: 52 pages including black and white photographs; approximately 7-3/8" in height and 9" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Paper cover, paper.

ATTACHMENT: Stapled binding.

MARKINGS: Bartlett, W. 364 and S.S. 162] [O.B. 1102 on front cover; "U.S.A. SCHOOL OF MILITARY AERONAUTICS PRINCETON UNIVERSITY Government property to be accounted for" stamped on title page.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBJX07 L/SBEJX6/13
