Description
This is a scarce, large early 1960s jacket patch for the United States Navy's Naval Air Transport Squadron 6 (NATS-6). The patch shows the oncoming nose of a plane superimposed upon an anchor. Half of the patch is light blue and the other dark blue, suggesting the horizon between sky and sea, and it also shows six blue stars.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 5-7/8" in height and 4-7/8" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in multi-colored silk/cotton/polyester threads.
MARKINGS:36 written on reverse.
