This is a scarce early World War II (circa 1942) United States Navy flight surgeon wing by Meyer. This beautiful wing shows an oak leaf and a silver acorn with a cross-hatched cap at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1942.
SIZE:Approximately 1" in height and 2-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with come-under locking catch.
MARKINGS:Meyer shield maker mark.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The wing has only minor wear, a very small spot of oxidation and a beautiful lustre.
