ARTIFACT:

This is a scarce and beautiful named World War I Victory Medal. This medal was presented to F.A. Johnson by the town f Manchester, Connecticut "in recognition of honorable service rendered in the World War 1917-1919".

VINTAGE:

Circa World War I.

SIZE:

Approximately 3-1/4" height and 1-3/8" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Bronze with silk ribbon and brass bar.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with "C" catch on bar.

MARKINGS:

F. A. JOHNSON engraved on reverse.

ITEM NOTES:

CONDITION:

7 (Very Fine): The medal shows a fair bit of wear and tarnish and has a lovely burnished appearance.
