ARTIFACT: Scarce five bar WWI United States Victory Medal ribbon. The medal shows winged Victory on the front and the reverse reads: "THE GREAT WAR FOR CIVILIZATION FRANCE ITALY SERBIA JAPAN MONTENEGRO RUSSIA GREECE GREAT BRITAIN BELGIUM BRAZIL PORTUGAL RUMANIA CHINA." The bars on the rainbow-hued ribbon read: "CHAMPAGNE – MARNE", "AISNE – MARNE", "ST. MIHIEL", "MEUSE-ARGONNE", and "DEFENSE SECTOR." The top of the ribbon is split and the brooch/pin is missing.

VINTAGE: Circa WWI

SIZE: Approximately 4-1/8" x 1-3/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Bronze, silk ribbon, brass

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 6- (Fine): The medal shows moderate to heavy wear, the silk ribbon is split at the top and the pin/brooch is missing, much of the plating details remain intact.
