This is a scarce 1930s medal for the 245th Coast Artillery Corps of the New York National Guard. The medal is by Robbins Company and was struck for a one mile relay race.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-7/8" in height and 1-15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver, enamel. silk.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin on bar with safety-style catch, suspension ring.
MARKINGS:1 MILE RELAY ROBBINS CO STERLING.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The medal shows some light to medium wear and tarnish with all enamel intact; ribbon has some small areas of moderate wear and discoloration.
