ARTIFACT:

This is a scarce circa 1930s or 1940s US Postal Service Post Office Department non-postal employee identification badge. The badge is large in order to denote a non-postal worker, such as an electrician, plumber, etc. The badge is numbered 7246 and has a maker mark along the bottom edge.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1930s-1940s.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-1/16" in height and 3-1/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Celluloid-wrapped tin.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal safety-style pin, backplate.

MARKINGS:

J.N.Y.C. maker mark along bottom edge.

ITEM NOTES:
