ARTIFACT: This is a 1950's Phoenix AZ United State Post Office Department Employee / Clerk Badge #48.

VINTAGE: Circa 1950's.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/2" in width x 1-3/4" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Painted Brass

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with come-under locking catch.

MARKINGS: PAT 2066969 on the pin mechanism on reverse. 

"U.S. GOVERNMENT PROPERTY / IF FOUND DROP IN MAILBOX".

CONDITION: 6+ (Fine - Very Fine): Badge shows moderate wear, tarnishing on front and reverse.
