This is a circa 1950s US Post Office Department employee or clerk badge from Spokane, Washington. The badge is numbered 242 and shows a postal rider on horseback in relief at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/4" in height and 1-1/2" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Brass, painted areas.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin on bar with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:242 on front; Pat. number U.S. GOVERNMENT PROPERTY and marks on reverse.
