1950's US Post Office Department Postal Transport Service Clerk Badge #'d 92871

1950's United States Post Office Department Postal Transportation service clerk badge in stamped nickel. The center of the badge is an oval with the letters: "U.S." overlapping in the center surrounded by thirteen stars and the words: "POST OFFICE DEPARTMENT POSTAL TRANSPORTATION SERVICE" and the base of the badge is numbered "92871", a standing eagle is perched at the top of the badge clutching arrows and an olive branch in its talons.
