Scarce 1930s-1940s Boston Police Dept. Patrolman Breast & Hat Badge Set

This is a set of Boston Police Patrolman badges, one breast and one hat, from the 1930s or 1940s. The breast badge is numbered 716 on reverse, and the hat badge has the same numbers on its front. The badges were replated for the Department in the 1950s.

Circa 1930s-1940s.

Breast badge: approximately 2-7/8" in height and 2-3/16" in width; hat badge: approximately 2-1/4" in height and 2" in width.

Plated brass.

Breast badge: vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch; hat badge: single screw post with disc backing, stabilization post.
