Scarce, early 1950's Boston, Massachusetts Police Patrolman Badge Set #51The breast badge reads: "POLICE BOSTON" and in the center disc depicts a port and below it reads: "BOSTONIA CONDITA AD. 1630", around the disc embossed letters read: "SICUT CIVITATIS REGIMINE DONATA AD 1822 PATRIBUS SIT DEUS NOBIS" and is numbered #519 on reverse. The hat badge appears to have been re-plated in the period of use. The breast badge is in exceptional condition with very light wear and nice patina. Hat badge is chrome-plated nickel on brass, finish does not match, but #'s do.
