This is a Scarce 1920's - 30's Salem, MA Fire Department Badge #40. Probably Originally a Nickel Badge, it was re-plated mid - 1930's in Chrome. Probably with through the 1960's. Came with 1980's Salem Fire badge, same #.
VINTAGE:Circa 1920s - 30s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/2" in height x 1-5/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Chrome-plated Nickel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick-pin with forked locking catch.

CONDITION:8+ (Excellent): The badge is minor to little wear, overall excellent condition.
