ARTIFACT: This is a scarce 1880's-90's United States Light House Service uniform hat button. The organization was employed by the US Coast Guard to maintain Lighthouses when they merged in 1939.

VINTAGE: Circa 1880's-90's.

SIZE: Approximately 1/2" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt Bronze.

ATTACHMENT: Button loop.

MARKINGS: "FINE QUALITY"

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Book collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJX17 LEEX03/17 SEEX09/20

CONDITION: 6+ (Fine-Very Fine): Has seen some wear, with oxidization on both the obverse and reverse of the button.
