This is a scarce 1880's-90's United States Light House Service uniform hat button. The organization was employed by the US Coast Guard to maintain Lighthouses when they merged in 1939.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1880's-90's.
SIZE:
Approximately 1/2" in diameter.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Gilt Bronze.

6+ (Fine-Very Fine): Has seen some wear, with oxidization on both the obverse and reverse of the button.
