This is a rare Canadian-made field jacket patch for the United States Army Air Forces stationed at Gander, Newfoundland. The patch is shaped similar to a gear and reads USAAF GANDER NFLD, showing an aviator goose in salute.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:5-1/8" diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Black multi-piece felt patch with multi-colored cotton/silk threads in a chain-stitch and muslin backing.
MARKINGS:CREST CARFT SASKATTOON, SK. maker's stamp on reverse.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): Patch is in wonderful shape and shows only a few small spots of wear.
