ARTIFACT:
This is a World War II jacket patch for the Royal Canadian Air Field at Gander, Newfoundland. The patch is in a bevo-weave with wool felt and shows a smiling aviator goose at its center.
VINTAGE:
Circa World War II.
SIZE:
Approximately 3-7/16" in diameter.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Silk wool felt, cotton/silk embroidery thread, cotton backing.
