Description
This is a rare World War II United States Army Air Forces 826th Bomb Squadron distinctive insignia made in France. The 826th existed for just under two years, participating largely in long-range bombing missions in Europe. Later the group also transported troops in and out of Morocco. The DI shows a vulture perched upon a gun.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/4" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Painted aluminum.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-style pin.
