This is a rare World War II South African Air Force pilot wing, which was manufactured in South Africa. The wing shows a wreathed crest below a crown.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-7/8" in height x 4-1/2" in length.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool felt embroidered in cotton/silk threads, cloth backing.
ATTACHMENT:To be sewn onto uniform.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Air Force collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MBEX08 LBEJX4/12 SBEJX01/29/23
CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The wing shows very little wear and has never been sewn onto a uniform.
