This is a rare circa 1920's or 1930's South African Air Force (SAAF) pilot wing. The wing is South African-made and is unpadded. The crest at the center of the wing has four quadrants and is the coat of arms formerly used on the South African national flag.
VINTAGE:Circa 1920s or 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/2" in height and 4-7/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool felt embroidered in silk/cotton threads, treated cloth backing.
