Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a "shirt" size Free French Air Force wing/branch of service badge. The wing has a star at top and shows a crest bearing the Cross of Lorraine and reading F.A.F.L. (Forces Aériennes Françaises Libres).

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 7/8" in height and 1-3/4" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with C catch.

MARKINGS:

None.

ITEM NOTES:

This is from a French militaria collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. LAGEX7/13 SeVAGEX1/15

CONDITION:

7 (Very Fine): The wing has a few small spots of minor oxidation; all enamel is intact.
