Rare Early WWII Free French Air Force (FAFL) Pilot Wing/Branch of Service Badge with Extremely LOW #1We don't know who this badge originally was worn by, but he was someone VERY important with such a low #.
The wing has a star at top and shows a crest bearing the Cross of Lorraine and reading F.A.F.L. : Forces Aeriennes Francaises Libres (French: Free French Air Force)
Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/2" x 1-3/16"
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical T Pin with open C catch.
