Description
Rare WWII American Red Cross Victory Squad badge. The center of the enameled, gilt brass badge shows a red "V" for victory with an American and Red Cross flag crossed beneath, both in nice enamel colors and detail. Along the top there is a blue enamel banner which reads: "VICTORY SQUAD" and the bottom of the badge shows: "A. R. C." in raised enamel lettering. Reportedly from the WWII era, but some aspects of the design point to WWI, as does the 'nippled' locking catch.
