ARTIFACT: This is a rare World War II United States Army Air Forces 39th Troop Carrier Squadron (aka "Jungle Skippers") DI.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: About 1-1/4" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass with enamel detail.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with a C catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: While he was alive, Jay Massaro and I spoke at length about this DI. He felt that it was WWII, although earlier on he had noted it as a reunion piece. He had it on his list of things to write about before he passed away but sadly never got to write the article for the Trading Post. This is from a large collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBJR02 SDJJX07

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): Very minor wear and tarnishing; enamel in excellent condition.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
