This is an Australian-made jacket patch for the United States Army Air Forces 69th Troop Carrier Squadron, 443rd Troop Carrier Group, 5th Air Force. The patch shows a winged turtle wearing headphones.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:About 5-5/8" diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Blue felt patch embroidered in multi-colored cotton/silk threads with muslin backing.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Air Force collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MCJJX09 STGEJX4/17
CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): Patch has some light wear and one small spot on the edge where the felt is missing.
