ARTIFACT: This is a scarce hardcover copy of the World War II United States Army Air Forces 67th Troop Carrier Squadron unit history "e;Sky Train: Adventures of a Troop Carrier Squadron February 10, 1943-August 10, 1944". The 67th was formed in 1943 and assigned to the 433 Troop Carrier Group. As part of the 5th Air Force, the 67th served in the Pacific Theatre, including at New Guinea, the Philippines and at Okinawa. The squadron remained active after the war in 1953. The book is named for one of the squadron's primary transport aircraft, the Douglas C-47 Skytrain. The history was published in Australia in 1945 and has several photographs and some humorous charcoal illustrations.

SIZE: 217 pages plus a few dozen unnumbered pages of photos; approximately 11"e; in height and 8-1/2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Cloth-bound cover with painted details, paper.

ATTACHMENT: Glued binding.

MARKINGS: Australia Angus and Robertson Ltd 1945.
