Description
This is a rare World War I United States Army Service enlisted pilot uniform. The jacket is moss green with a mustard lining and has a wing and a chevron patch, and some handsome collar insignia. The breeches are the same color with plain muslin lining near the top. They have a button fly and lace up bottoms with reinforced knees.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:No tags (jacket: approximate size 34; breeches: inseam: 27").
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Jacket: wool, twill lining, copper-plated brass buttons, wool embroidered in cotton/silk threads (wing/patch); breeches: wool, muslin lining, cotton laces (on breeches), aluminum buttons.
ATTACHMENT:Jacket: buttons, eyehooks; pants: laces, buttons.
MARKINGS:Jacket: HBD (?) written in lining; breeches: US ARMY on button.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The jacket is in nice condition with light overall wear and a few very small moth holes, mostly on left sleeve (one button has come off but is in pocket); breeches: some very small moth holes only.
