This is a rare circa World War I or 1920s Romanian Air Force pilot badge. The lightweight badge is a finely detailed eagle bearing the cypher of Ferdinand I, a back-to-back double "F". King Ferdinand I of Romania reigned from 1914 until his death in 1927.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I-1920s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/4" in height and 1-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with tongue-style catch.
MARKINGS:None.
