This is a extremely rare circa World War I or 1920s Romanian Air Force pilot badge. The lightweight badge is a finely detailed eagle bearing the cypher of Ferdinand I, a back-to-back double "F". King Ferdinand I of Romania reigned from 1914 until his death in 1927.
VINTAGE:Circa 1920s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-5/16" in height x 1-3/4" width
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silver plated nickel (Tombak).
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with tongue-style catch.
