Rare US Army 137th Infantry Regt. Bevo DI on Overseas Cap (Normandy)

This is a rare World War II US Army 137th Infantry Regiment bevo-weave distinctive insignia on an overseas cap from Normandy. The DI reads VALOR FOR SERVICE.

Circa World War II.

Cap is size 7 ¼ (4-13/16" height and 11-1/2" width).

Wool gabardine cap with cotton/silk DI and silk inner brim lining.

None.

H0719 written and 7 ¼ stamped inside band, along with original maker's label from Funk Bros. Hat & Cap Co. of Philadelphia.
