This is a rare Spanish Cavalry Puerto Rican Garrison pith helmet plate from the Spanish-American War. The plate model was adopted in 189It is silver in color, not brass, which means it was worn by engineer, cavalry and quartermaster troops. The plate has a great red and yellow medallion at its top.
VINTAGE:Circa Spanish-American War.
SIZE:Approximately 3-1/8" in width and 2-13/16" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Stamped nickel with painted areas.
ATTACHMENT:Clip and loop.
MARKINGS:None.
