Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a rare Model 1892 United States Marine Corps enlisted man dress cap EGA. This nice eagle, globe and anchor was modified sometime during the Spanish-American War or the Boxer Rebellion: the eagle's wings are separated from the anchor and are pointing upwards slightly.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1892.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-9/16" in height and 1-9/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gilt brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Single screw post with slightly conical disc backing.

MARKINGS:

None.
