ARTIFACT: This is a rare, named, World War I Service Medal presented to Joh Will, member of the International Brotherhood of Bookbinders (IBB) Local #10 of Albany, New York. The IBB was formed in 1892 and was a sort of competitor in the Union world with the International Typographer's Union, a rather large union for writers at the time.

VINTAGE: Ca. WWI

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/4" x 1"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Enameled, engraved, and gold filled brass. Engraving filled with Jeweler's Black

ATTACHMENT: Chain links and horizontal pin with locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: Obverse: "JOHN WILL LOCAL 10 OF ALBANY N.Y. 1892. I.B.OF.B. 1892. Reverse: "IN APPRECIATION FOR SERVICES RENDERED TO HIS COUNTRY DURING THE WORLD WAR 1919. QUAYLE ALBANY.

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): Light wear, the color is a bit muddled from exposure.
