ARTIFACT: This is a rare Italian Air Force sleeve badge for the Baracca Squadron. The badge bears the name "F. BARACCA" over a flying eagle. Baracca was the Italian ace of aces with 34 victories. He died in 1918 and the 4th stormo was named for him in 1931.

VINTAGE: Circa mid-1920s.

SIZE: About 2.5" wide by 2" high.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Blue wool and bullion.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: LCIEX VEJX07 SBFEX4/16

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The patch is missing some bullion and the paper backing is mostly gone.
