ARTIFACT: This is a nice example of a fairly rare unit badge to the 377th pursuit squadron Squadriglia Caccia of the Regia Aeronautica. The badge shows an armed owl perched upon a crescent moon.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: About 1" wide by 1" high.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Enamel on plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with simple C-catch.

MARKINGS: stamped "S. JOHNSON MILANO".

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge has some wear and light tarnishing, and some minor oxidation on reverse.
