Rare Late WWII USAAF 14th AF Patch Type DI. Rare Flat Variation

Rare late WWII United States Army Air Forces 14th Air Force patch type distinctive insignia. This example is a rare flat variation showing a tiger in the center of a blue enameled disc, above the tiger, a white five pointed star displays a red center.

Circa late WWII.

Approximately 15/16" in diameter.

Enameled brass.

Vertical pin with drop in locking catch.
